Servicetrace – Phil’s Salesforce Tip of the Week #463

Servicetrace – Phil’s Salesforce Tip of the Week #463

Welcome to my Salesforce Tip of the Week #463

Tip 1 – Servicetrace

Servicetrace

Salesforce have announced the acquisition of Servicetrace, the German RPA (robotic process automation) company. Servicetrace will become a part of Mulesoft. See the official press release here.

In a work-from-anywhere world, every minute counts. The urgency of today’s digital imperative is leading companies to increasingly turn to automation to free up employee time from manual work and quickly launch new digital experiences, products, and services. Automation has become critical to business and IT: According to Salesforce’s Trends in Workflow Automation report, 95% of IT and engineering leaders say their organizations are prioritizing workflow automation.

The acquisition of Servicetrace has already attracted some industry attention. Find out what Tech Crunch has to say about it here. One of the key ideas that caught my eye was, ‘automation of processes and workflows fuelled by real-time data coming from a growing variety of sources‘. Sounds pretty powerful!

Tip 2 – Developer Blog

Developer Blog

This week also saw the new and improved Developer blog. It’s a great place to find all your documentation, code samples, and community links. Also, ‘an API for every need‘ is on the cards…
