Tip #1 Join a local User Group!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and presented last night at the first ever North West User Group! Manchester welcomed 50 people to the launch event, and a great time was had by all. Most of the attendees had never been to a User Group before, but all the feedback was positive. People left with new ideas, new functionality to try, and generally feeling motivated (and quite merry). And one great comment was “Why have I never been to one of these before??”
So my Tip to everybody else is to join your local Salesforce User Group today, and I can guarantee you won’t regret it!
There are 150 User Groups around the world. Salesforce will support them, but they don’t dictate the agenda. They invite motivated Salesforce champions to set up and manage them, and allow the Leaders and Users to decide what they want to discuss, and where they want to discuss it. So there is no ‘selling agenda’ its just a great atmosphere to have a chat, learn something new, and socialise with people who are ‘in the same boat’.
Take a look at this link and find your local User Group.
