Phil’s Salesforce Tip Of The Week 14 June 2013
#1 Attend some events:
Its been a busy time for Salesforce events! It was great to welcome Salesforce.com to my home city of Manchester on Tuesday, and meet some friends old and new (including Sanj Bhayro and Richard Hoare at Salesforce, and Norma Humphries from FinancialForce).
Hopefully the next event in the North West of England will be a brand new Salesforce User Group. If you are interested, please drop me a line so I can get a rough idea of numbers.
After discussions with Salesforce, local Users, and some Partners, I hope to confirm a location in Manchester for an initial NW User Group in September. Very exciting!
Next week is the London User Group on June 18th
And then on the 19th June , UK Non profit Salesforce User Group Event
I will be on the Salesforce Surgery Session for this one, so come and say hi!
I would strongly recommend attending one of the Salesforce related events, they are great to learn some new tricks, meet some fellow users, and meet face-to-face with your Salesforce Account exec. I always come away very motivated to test out some new features, so give it a try!
#2 Chatter – Why your boss may actually want it!
Take a look at this video, looking at why some CEOs like Chatter.
#3 Interesting looking App – Zapier
Creates integrations between Salesforce and many other tools, including Mailchimp, Evernote, Chatter, Basecamp, Gmail, and many more. I have only just started playing with this but I think it could have many uses! Take a look around for yourself and tell me what you think are the best possible functionalities we could set up…and then I will try to test them out! See here
